March 7th | DMV Habitat for Humanity

$0.00
Fully Committed

Ladies Who Golf invites our DMV members to step into service with intention at the D.C. Habitat for Humanity Build Day, as we come together for a meaningful day of community impact through hands-on volunteerism.

This experience is not about the golf course. It is about showing up with care, working side by side, and supporting the systems that help local families access safe and affordable housing. The work may appear simple, but it carries real weight. Every task completed and every hour served directly supports Habitat’s mission across the DMV.

No prior volunteer experience is required. Habitat will provide on-site guidance and training. Our role is clear: arrive prepared, stay engaged, and contribute with excellence throughout the day.

Once you reserve your spot, we will share the required waiver and donation details directly with you.

Event Details

Time: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Please arrive by 8:30 AM sharp. Volunteers who arrive after 8:30 AM may not be able to participate, as all volunteers are required to attend orientation and a mandatory safety briefing.

Expected End Time:
The workday will conclude at approximately 3:30 PM, at which point volunteers will clean up and head home.

What You’ll Be Doing

What to Wear

Please wear comfortable, durable clothing suitable for construction work, including loose-fitting jeans or work pants, short- or long-sleeve shirts, and thick-soled, closed-toe shoes or work boots. Layers are recommended, as temperatures may vary.

For safety reasons, leggings, tights, sleeveless shirts, and inappropriate footwear are not permitted. Volunteers who arrive in unsuitable attire may be asked to leave.

What to Bring

Habitat will provide all tools and water on-site. You are welcome to bring your own beverages and a bagged lunch to enjoy during the break.

Required Safety Video

Please plan to watch the Habitat safety video prior to volunteering. Additional details will be shared once your spot is confirmed.

Together, we do more than volunteer. We strengthen our community, support Habitat’s mission, and create impact through service that is practical, visible, and lasting.
