Ladies Who Golf invites our members in D.C. to step into service with intention at the D.C. Habitat for Humanity ReStore, as we come together for a meaningful day of community impact through hands on volunteerism.

This experience is not about the golf course. It is about showing up with care, working side by side, and supporting the systems that help local families access safe and affordable housing. The work may look simple, but it carries real weight. Every donated item organized and every customer served helps sustain Habitat’s mission across the DMV.

No prior volunteer experience is required. Habitat will provide guidance on site, and our role is clear: lend a hand, stay engaged, and help keep the flow of service moving with excellence.

A $10 Minimum Donation is Require to Join and must be confirmed with LWG Leadership. Please us use to link here to make your donation and listed “Ladies Who Golf” in the comment: https://give.habitatdcnova.org/give/204525/#!/donation/checkout

Time: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Please arrive by 8:30 am. If you arrive after 8:30am, you may not be able to volunteer as all volunteers must attend orientation and a mandatory safety briefing.

Location: 900 55th Street NE Washington, D.C. 2001

What is the expected finish time for the workday? We will be cleaned up and headed home by 3:30 PM.

What will I be doing? We rely on volunteers for all stages of this construction project from site excavation, foundation preparation, and exterior wall building to finishing details like painting, trim work, and weatherization. We accept volunteers of all skill levels, and we provide all of the training necessary to complete a task on the jobsite.

Where can I park? There is street parking next to the site.

What should I wear? Please wear comfortable, durable clothing: loose-fitting jeans or work pants, short or long sleeve shirts, thick-soled closed-toed shoes, or work boots. Most volunteers find it helpful to wear layers as the temperature can vary throughout the day. We do not allow leggings, tights, sleeveless shirts, or inappropriate footwear on our sites.

➢ NOTE: This is for YOUR safety. If you arrive in unsuitable clothing, you may be asked to leave.

What should I bring? We have everything you need on-site for building but you can bring a bagged lunch to enjoy with your fellow volunteers. We will provide tools and water but you are welcome to bring your own beverages as well.

➢ FOR YOUR REFERENCE: Please watch the following safety video before volunteering:

Together, we do more than volunteer. We strengthen our community, support Habitat’s mission, and create impact through service that is practical, visible, and lasting.
